Ayoola was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to offences including making and distributing indecent images of children, possessing extreme pornography, and causing or inciting children to engage in sexual activities.
The court heard that Ayoola targeted young children online, encouraged them to engage in sexual activities, recorded the interactions and sold the footage to paedophiles.
According to Wales Online, one paedophile paid him £5,000 for images and videos, while hundreds of child sexual abuse materials were found on his devices.
The court heard that Ayoola had been communicating online with a 12-year-old girl and instructed her to expose herself while he engaged in a sexual act during a video call.
In another online conversation, he was reportedly in contact with a girl aged between 11 and 13 and another child aged between two and four. During video calls, he encouraged the older child to carry out sexual acts and involve the younger child.
Ayoola was first arrested at his home in Cardiff in January 2025, after police seized several devices containing indecent images of children.
Investigators found 455 Category A images, including four obtained through recordings of children, 401 Category B images and 389 Category C images. Extreme pornographic images depicting bestiality were also discovered.
The teenager was also found to have participated in Telegram and WhatsApp group chats where indecent images of children were shared and distributed.
According to the report, paedophiles requested images and videos from Ayoola, with 877 transactions reportedly made through PayPal. He also admitted receiving £5,000 from one paedophile.
During police questioning, Ayoola claimed he had been supplied with photographs of teenagers aged between 16 and 18 and admitted sharing and sending the material because of pressure and financial needs.
He was arrested for a second time on March 5, 2026, and was again found in possession of indecent images involving children, including those as young as four. Police recovered 14 Category A images, 15 Category B images and 22 Category C images.
In mitigation, his lawyer, Martha Smith-Higgins, described him as a well-behaved young man who lost his mother at the age of six before moving to the UK. She also told the court that he was remorseful for his actions.
However, sentencing him, Judge Vanessa Francis rejected claims that Ayoola was not sexually attracted to children and that his offences were not sexually motivated.
The judge said the children involved were much younger than Ayoola and that some were “very young indeed”, adding that they had been encouraged to participate in the production of extremely harmful material.
“These were not simply images; they were children whose trust and vulnerability were exploited in order to make sexual material,” she said.
In addition to his four-year prison sentence, Ayoola was made subject to sex offender notification requirements indefinitely and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
